I remember the last time before today that I brushed my hair. I was sitting at my kitchen table brushing my hair on the morning that the gang came over to go to Mt. Monadnock . That was, roughly two weeks ago. Little clumps of dread wanna be dreadies started to form and this morning I decided to fight them off once again. I last cut my hair at Fools Fest a good 18 months ago. Buzz Buzz. Thanks Steve Dodge for the use of the clippers. Today I used a brush. I had to isolate little tufts of hair and tie them back. Doing it all at once would have ripped out half my hair. My hair was left sooooo damn frizzy..

quite the change from…

It’ll definitely dread up while i’m on the road and travelling. Maybe it’s time for another haircut.
hard to tell what’s the front and what’s the back.
here’s me reading the Boston Globe with my thumbs upside-down ;)

Firstly, overheard on the street today - spoken i a British accent: You Know How I hate using American payphones. Must be that the universal calling card systems in Europe are a little bit easier to deal with - or is it the nasty-nasty that you find on every third handset.
Dropped by the German Consulate in Copley Square, Boston. Wow, the passports now have these awesome holograms embedded in them. I’m impressed.
Now I can leave the country. For a while at least. I did some research into how long i can be away without forfeiting my Green Card - it took me a while to find because I keept looking on the website of what used to be the INS and is now swallowed up by the BCIS - Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services . Not a lot of help on that front. The State Department website treated me a bit better but my ultimate answers were up on ImmiHelp
I can got for up to a year without a special permit. If I wish to stay longer I can get an US$80 Re-entry permit which allows me to go for two years. without losing my Green Card. However, I can’t stay away for more that a year at a time or it resets the 5 years that I have to be in the US in order to apply for citizenship. I can’t rule out wanting to do that someday.

I’m feeling stagefright. The whole internet could be watching. Taus already is. Bless his soul, I hope he recovers well from his run-in with nicotine and alcohol on this balmy sunday night.
I went to play ultimate at Hombrew in Queechee, VT this weekend. It was a fun team I got on through my buddy Alberto from Portland, ME - It was just another tournament, really. The cool thing about it all was Park And Ride nh|vt, great for meeting up with people and carpooling to final northern destinations.
Ok, the beer at the party deserves some mention. Weighing in at 8% ABV these homebrewers of Vermont Law School weren’t messing around with the stronger drinks. Tasty Tasty.
Sunday Sunday Sunday - a big long afternoon nap nicely set the tone to get to the after-pumpkin-carving-party at Dunky and Bowlses. Homestarrunner was the dominant theme with
one Cheat and one Strong Bad pumpkin. Shoulda snapped some photos, I guess I was feeling post-nap sedated.
I got up in time to hit the Magnifient Muffin this morning. I forgot to try to buy Phish tikets for the gang. I’m a slacker. Still ripping CD’s. I’m down to the last shelf, finishing up reggae, dashing into jazz. I drove out to Wakefield to where Johanna had lost her wallet at the auto shop… The REI is in Reading next to wakefield so i got myself $130 worth of gear for travelling. Mainly a first aid kit and another pair of convertible pants. Johanna and I had Dave Taus over for dinner. Then we watched some homestarrunner. That’s all.
Spent the day in the woods with Taus, Chelsea, Dawn, Duncan, and Amy. good hiking galore. Fun Crowd. Oh, and the Red Sox won to tie the series at 2-2.

Boston, MA
I started today in a attempt to get a mass email out to alert my peoples to my new email address. After kicking that around for a bit I got distracted for about 8 hours playing with getting MT running on my computer. Apache was all kindsa messed up and I ended up just installing a new version from source. Try as I might have, getting cgi running just would not work for me. Now it’s all nice and clean and I bet I could get PHP working too, which has foiled me in the past.
Once I got it working there was a long period of familiarizing myself with how the hell it works. Pretty slick really. elling.
