I just finished the book Connections by James Burke. This is one of those works that makes you go “oh shit.” It is an alternative view of how to view/ teach history. This book is a lot like the first of the Matrix films, the less you know going in, the more you will get out of it.
It is along the lines of Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel, but only somewhat.
